Sarah Ketchley trained as an Egyptologist at the University of Birmingham, UK where she specialized in Egyptian art from the first millennium BC. More recently, she has been working to transcribe and digitize an unpublished 19th century travel journal detailing early excavation in the Valley of the Kings. This process introduced her to the brave new world of Digital Humanities and many new avenues for exploration and representation of data.
