      Because the Society for American Music\’s annual meeting had to be cancelled, the University of Rochester Press (and Boydell and Brewer, which distributes its books outside of North America) is offering a 40% reduction on its music books from now till the end of May.

      The announcement (with link) is below. It specifically mentions some of its newest books on American music, including a contributed book on Leonard Bernstein\’s relationship to Washington DC (where West Side Story had its previews and Mass its premiere), on Aaron Copland\’s film scores, and on an important 19th-century woman composer and music journalist, Augusta Browne.

      I believe you can actually order any items from the URP or Boydell catalogue at this same discount, just as you normally can when standing at their book exhibit at an AMS or SAM conference.
