Thesis Proposal - Using GT Strategies for HA and PB
Content
In the 1987 movie “The Untouchables”, after a very vicious shootout, Jim Malone (Sean Connery) asks Elliot Ness (Kevin Costner) “What are you prepared to do? If you open up this can of worms you must be prepared to go all the way”. Humanitarian action and peacebuilding (HAP) can be seen nearly in the same light. In the midst of chaos and confusion of disaster relief, conflict, or post-conflict action, aid organizations or beneficiaries can be faced with the question “What are you prepared to do”? Aid organizations entering a situation should be prepared to go all the way.
