I am an Assistant Professor of English, specializing in Writing and Rhetoric, and Director of First-Year Writing at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. My primary research area is writing pedagogy, particularly in relation to linguistic diversity, standard language ideology, feminism/gender studies, information literacy, first-year writing, and high-school-to-college writing transitions.
