Kevin Hamilton is Associate Professor of New Media and Painting and directs the Program in New Media in the School of Art and Design at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Hamilton works as a historian, critic and producer in digital media forms to illuminate the role of mediation in modern approaches to self and society. His artworks have been displayed in festivals, museums and public spaces across Europe and North America. He holds the M.S. in Visual Studies from MIT and the B.F.A. (Painting) from the Rhode Island School of Design. His work has been supported by the US National Science Foundation and the National Endowment for the Humanities.
