About

Daniel B. Glover (Ph.D., Baylor University) is Assistant Professor of New Testament at Lee University. He is a scholar of ancient Mediterranean religion, and much of his published work has centered on early Christianity and deification.

His scholarly expertise encompasses the New Testament (especially Luke/Acts, Paul, and the Catholic Epistles), second century Christianity (especially Justin Martyr and Alexandrian Christianity), Roman-era magic and medicine, and the history, literature, and religion of the Hellenistic Near Eastern historians.

He is currently researching in preparation for a major book project on sight, blindness, medicine, and magic in early Christianity and the ancient Mediterranean world.
