Who else can you name who was on television in 1930? And follow @bettybolton if you want to keep up to date on all things Betty Bolton! (2025-01-26 ↗)
A friend told me a story that must have happened in the 1940s. He grew up in a strict sect that encouraged the playing of music, but only religious music. There was one exception to this rule. He remembers, as a child, hearing his male relatives play a song that really upset an aged female family member. "What was the song?" I asked. "Something about 'Mama Don't Allow It.'" (2024-11-23 ↗)
