Announcing the Southwest Music Studies Colloquium, a program of bi-weekly virtual gatherings for musicologists, music theorists, ethnomusicologists, performers, music librarians, other music professionals, music students, and anyone curious about music research. Sponsored in part by the Southwest Chapter of the American Musicological Society, tt is an inclusive and diverse community where we can share our latest research, engage with timely issues in our disciplines, offer other professional development opportunities, and grow closer as a community of scholars. SMSC participants do not have to be members of the AMS or any other organization to participate. Our meetings take place on Zoom every other Thursday from 7-8 Central time, and we encourage members to present on their research, pose questions for the group, and to chat about their work in music. Join us on Humanities Commons at https://hcommons.org/groups/southwest-music-studies-colloquium/forum/ and visit https://southwestmusicstudiescolloquium.hcommons.org/ for a link to register for our meetings and present your own work.
