About
I am Assistant Professor of English at the University of the Fraser Valley. I received my master’s and Ph.D. in English from the University of Victoria, specializing in twentieth- and twenty-first-century British and Irish literature, critical theory, and environmental humanities. When it comes to teaching, I love to engage students in various activities and collaborations to cultivate their critical and creative thinking skills. I teach modernism, contemporary British and Irish literature, academic writing, and other English courses related to my research fields. Besides teaching, I currently have two book projects in progress; one examines how literary forms transmit historical and social feelings, and the other attends to inter-war British literary responses to the development of carbon capitalism. Some of my works have appeared or are forthcoming in LIT: Literature Interpretation Theory, the Routledge Encyclopedia of Modernism, Modernism/modernity print+ platform, and Modernism, Theory and Responsible Reading: A Critical Conversation.
