Tadhg Kearney (
he/him) is a student in University College Cork. He completed his BA in English and History last year, receiving a First Class Honours, and is currently doing an MA in Modernities. MA Thesis – Topic TBD
Bye, August, a coming of age, new adult novel following a student called Jessica Murphy as she tries to build a life for herself after a particularly traumatic childhood. This blog may, at times, explore the central themes of this novel, such as trauma, PTSD, C-PTSD, representations of various mental illnesses, and how they manifest in other forms of media (novels and film, primarily). This project is a reflection of my desire to remain a novelist first, and a student second. It is currently 25% complete.
