My research interests include: creative writing; public libraries; local community history & engagement; queer, radical and feminist his/herstories; amplifying marginalised voices; oral history; information ethics, access & inclusion; information history; dis/misinformation, participatory research; autoethnographical practice; grassroots archiving; queer writing; and queer art. I studied Creative Writing at Bachelors level, and Library Science with Distinction at Masters level.

Professionally, I am Project Manager, Editor & Research Assistant for CityLife: Stories for Change – a life writing based community engagement research project that began life at UEL and transferred to UEA, that celebrates the life stories of elders in London and the wider UK community. I am also a writing mentor on the Power of the Pen writing programme by Arkbound Foundation. Previously Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant, and Programming at various London-based arts and literature charities. My full professional profile can be found on LinkedIn.


I have an MSc with Distinction in Library Science from City, University of London. Prior to this, a 2:1 graduate of UEL’s Creative & Professional Writing BA Hons degree. While at the latter I also undertook two internships and founded a student-led subgroup of writers charity English PEN, called UEL PEN, winning four awards for contributions to the UEL and wider East London community.
