Grigoris Markou is a postdoctoral researcher in the School of Political Sciences at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He holds a PhD in Political Sciences from the same university. His PhD thesis focuses on left-wing populism in power in Europe and Latin America.
He is coordinator of the “Populism Study Circle” at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
His research interests include: Argentinian politics, Greek politics, discourse analysis, populism, anti-populism, radicalism, nationalism and democracy. He has published articles and chapters in international academic journals, collective volumes and global media platforms about populism, anti-populism and democracy.
