Hi David, that’s indeed an excellent question, and just to add to John’s mention of the OATP, there’s also an option to narrow one’s search down via boolean operators, so searching for oa.business_models AND oa.books will provide you with a more specific version of the list that John mentioned…[Read more]

The formalization of sound changes as finite state transducers is implicit already in the Neogrammarians. For at least six decades scholars have recognized the potential of transducers for improving the speed and rigor of research in historical linguists, but almost no historical linguists actually use them. This article identifies the obstacles…[Read more]

Hi David, excellent question! John makes a great suggestion with OATP, which is really useful in keeping up with new announcements and current developments. The difficulty with any online list is keeping it up to date — as you note, there are a lot of new initiatives like Path To Open launching at the moment. My colleague Tom Grady and I recently…[Read more]

There’s now a fair number of different Open Monograph schemes, running different models or variations of models – and new schemes keep launching, ie ‘Path to Open‘ that just launched. This is great, but does mean it’s difficult to keep track of what the current OA monograph landscape looks like.
Is there anywhere a list of these different schemes?
