I am an interdisciplinary humanities scholar with specialisms in gender theory, applied ethics, feminist moral and political philosophy, and religion and gender.

I am interested in narrative, memory, and identity in histories of women’s movements, especially the Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA), which was the focus of my doctoral research; the interactions between transnational feminist and women’s movements, social change, and international development in (post)colonial Africa; the study of Christianity; and sexual health and rights and reproductive justice.

Upcoming Talks and Conferences

I will be presenting a paper at ‘Troubling the Norms through Embodied / Disembodied Choices’, 41st Annual Implicit Religion Conference. 18–20 May 2018, in Leeds, UK.
