This presentation was part of a symposium on teaching Logic courses at the Canadian Philosophical Association’s 2019 meeting. It combined a discussion of growth mindset (Carole Dweck) with the idea of “small teaching” (James Lang), involving participants in talking about ways that students in logic courses might approach the subject as something one simply just is good or bad at, and what small tweaks can be made to teaching methods to address these issues.
