I have recently completed a Ph.D. in Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Edinburgh under the supervision of Dr. Andreas Goerke. The title of my dissertation is “The Tafsir of Sufyan al-Thawri (d. 161/778): A study of its provenance, sources, methods, and topics”.

I have moved back to Pakistan where I am teaching undergraduate courses in the Study of Islam at a private university in Lahore.
