Spes Christiana is the journal of European Adventist Society of Theology and Religious Studies. It publishes articles from all fields of theology (Biblical Studies, Church History, Systematic Theology, Practical Theology, Missiology, Religious Studies) as well as contributions from the Social Sciences and the Humanities dealing with religious issues.

The book of Revelation has always enjoyed great interest in Adventist circles and has often been the subject of detailed study. Many scholarly studies and articles on the theology of the last book of the Bible have been written, but thorough Adventist exegetical commentaries following the biblical text verse by verse are rather rare. To what extent can the Bible, the Christian message, and especially the ministers, as their public representatives, have an impact upon our post-modern society?
