The SMT Philosophy Interest Group is a group of scholars who are interested in the intersection of music studies and philosophy. This might sound austere. But if your research touches on what (if anything) is good, true, and beautiful in music theory and analysis, congrats: we welcome all strands of philosophical thought (analytic, continental, historical, etc.) and seek to create a generous and supportive intellectual community for those interested in music and philosophy. New members are always welcome.
