Research into Catholic Education continues to steadily grow both globally and within the UK and the Republic of Ireland.  This two day conference will focus on how we can further encourage and support research into Catholic Education.  A key aim is to stimulate and foster the work of researchers who are exploring different aspects of Catholic education.  In addition to many leading voices, there will be workshops and seminars devoted to the practical issues of researching and disseminating research within the field of Catholic Education Studies.
Keynote speakers include
Dr Ros Stuart-Buttle (Liverpool Hope University), Dr Ann Casson (Canterbury Christchurch University) and Dr Sandra Cullen (Dublin City University ).
This conference is being hosted by the Heythrop Institute for Religion and Society, and organised by the Network for Researchers in Catholic Education.
Call for papers:
Submissions to present short papers (20 minutes) from researchers in Catholic Education are warmly welcome.  We are particularly keen to receive papers which explore how researchers developed their research.  As well as receiving submissions from established academics and those undertaking doctorates, we are keen to receive proposals from those currently undertaking Masters level research into any aspect of Catholic education.
Abstracts of up to 300 words should be submitted to Dr Sean Whittle (s.whittle@heythrop.ac.uk) by 14th July 2017.  Notice of acceptance of a paper will be made by 31st July 2017.  Full text of papers should be submitted by email attachment on or before 8th September 2017.
This conference will provide an exceptional opportunity to explore a range of contemporary perspectives in Catholic education.  It will provide a forum for advocates of Catholic education to engage with those currently researching in this increasingly important field of studies.
Registration
The full conference is £120 and a single day rate of £65 is available. Details of how to register can be foundwww.heythrop.ac.uk
