      Hi Everyone,

      We’ve decided to extend the deadline for abstracts for the 20th Symposium on Indigenous Music and Dance until Sept 21. Please see details below:

      The 20th Symposium on Indigenous Music and Dance will be held on 9-11 December 2021 as part of the 44th Musicological Society of Australia National Conference. The Symposium invites proposals for presentations that explore Australian, international and/or First Nations perspectives on topics relating to Indigenous music and dance. The Symposium will be delivered online.

      Proposals Please submit proposals for presentation to anthea.skinner@unimelb.edu.au with the subject line “Symposium Proposal” by 21 September 2021.

      Proposals should include:

      Title Abstract or summary of 200 words

      Presenter names and contact details

      Preferred format (1): presentation (20 minutes + 10 minutes Q&A) or/and performance/demonstration (30 minutes + 15 minutes Q&A)

       

      Timeline:

      14 August 2021 Call for papers

      21 September 2021 Deadline for proposals

      30 September 2021 Notifications of acceptance
