      Dear Colleagues and Friends

      We have great pleasure in sending you Newsletter #2 of the newly formed International Forum for Jewish Music Studies IFJMS .

      This Newsletter, which you will find attached as a pdf, features comments on the COZ programme from professor Eliyahu Schleifer and Dr Alexander Knapp. It also features every single one of the 26 COZ sessions with photographs of the speakers, that have been booked since the beginning of the programme on 23 June 2020, right up to the 22 December when we stop for the year.

      (We will shortly open for booking, the 2021 season of Tuesday Conversations on Zoom.)

      We have great pleasure in sending you Newsletter #3 of the International Forum for Jewish Music Studies IFJMS.

      This Newsletter, which you will find attached as a pdf, features comments on the COZ programme from several of those who have already and those who look forward to having a Conversation on Zoom’ in this coming series.  It also features all the next COZ sessions with photographs of the speakers coming up between next Tuesday 19 January and Tuesday 27 April.  We are thrilled to have an amazing rosta, including Mark Slobin, Shoshana Weich Shahak, Abigail Wood, Edwin Seroussi, AZ Idelsohn’s great-grandson! andmany others.

      We welcome the Bloch Study Group and list their Monthly meetings which started last week.

      We also mention again the three year moveable feast under the overarching title of Migration and Transformation in Jewish Music. Indiviuals and groups can participate. We plan for this project to culminate in a meeting in Israel in Summer 2023 and a conference and Cantors Convention is Hannover in November 2023. There are possibilites of publication of work in either Musica Jusaica or the new online publication Tekiah online Journal.
