Some people say that theatre as such is not strictly speaking literature, but again we have at least dramatic literature and plays and dramatists, that’s not to be questioned. So we might include among the topics of this group drama and theatre. And other favourite genres as well —perhaps as a different topic?   Anyways, this is my contribution to “Things Theatrical” for the moment, with thanks to Nora who has provided suggestions for some recent entries. Indeed, drama has not always been considered as literature, but rather as entertainment. Fortunately, its reputation has gradually grown and today theatrical studies are a fruitful research area.
