Here’s a thread on things decimononical, if I may use the term. This time on gender, Stuart Mill, Darwin, and Austen. I was going to say things Victorian, and well I might, since Jane Austen is somewhat of a Victorian before the Victorians. Perhaps they wouldn’t have been so very Victorian without her lessons.
