Streaming version of Off-Broadway musical based on Mary Shelley's Frankenstein
- 14 May 2020 at 9:42 am #31274
My musical based on Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein has been playing Off-Broadway in NYC for over 2-1/2 years (up until the pause caused by the health crisis). It has had a great deal of interest from college and high school classes studying the novel, with groups attending the performances.
Even before covid, we had already planned to record the musical and make it eventually available to educators who are not in the NYC area. We now plan to have this material available during the Fall of this year.
While we are still investigating the details for digital distribution and licensing, we are also trying to determine interest in this, before making the significant investment to film the musical.
(We will also be providing related curriculum materials relating to the adaptation and interviews with the creative team.)
If you might be potentially interested in using this in a course that reads Frankenstein, have any other questions about it, of suggestions about how to best digitally distribute material like this, please contact me at Eric@EricSirota.com
