Boston College is starting a Digital Humanities Certificate in our History and English graduate programs. For those who have such programs, do your participating departments allow DH as a field for MA and PhD programs? If so, do students present a DH portfolio or is there some other method of demonstrating proficiency?

We began a similar program at Temple University in 2019, however it is university-wide. Departments have to make their own decisions about whether or not to count the DH coursework toward the degree (an important issue particularly for funded graduate students).
