      Crowdsourcing Friends,

I’m happy to share the release of Scripto for Omeka S 1.0. Many of you will be familiar with Scripto for Omeka Classic, which launched in 2011 to bring transcription capabilities to those using Omeka Classic to host their collections materials.

Scripto for Omeka S offers the ability to host many transcription or translation projects in one Omeka S instance. It also has a newly designed, robust editorial workflow.

Hosting your crowdsourcing work Omeka S will allow you to take advantage of the platform’s linked open data infrastructure and its many modules integrating the platform with IIIF viewers and a range of institutional repositories.

      Give it a spin!

      Sharon Leon

      Director, Omeka
