The Florida Digital Humanities Consortium is the host for HASTAC 2017! The conference will be held in Orlando\, Flori da\, November 3-4\, 2017.
Due to the impact of Hurricane Irma \, the main UCF campus will be the new venue for HASTAC 2017! Our campus community is looking forward to hosting such an exciting confer ence.
Attendee registration for HASTAC 2017 is open and we have posted the new conference hotel accommodations. Additionally\, we have some preliminary transportatio n information posted and will update it as we get closer to the confere nce.
Our plenary speakers are an exceptional group of sch olars! The Friday panel includes Purdom Lindblad\, Assista nt Director of Innovation and Learning at MITH\, Tressie McMillan C ottom\, assistant professor of sociology at Virginia Commonwealth University\, and T-Kay Sangwand\, librarian for UCLA’s Dig ital Library Program. The panel will be moderated by Anastasia Salt er\, assistant professor of Digital Media at the University of Cen tral Florida. Saturday’s final session will feature HASTAC’s own Ca thy N. Davidson\, from CUNY. The sessions surrounding these will i nclude roundtables\, soapbox talks\, demos\, maker sessions\, workshops\, m edia art projects\, and posters.
