The New York Public Library’s Digital Collection, The Black Experience in Children’s Books: Selections from Augusta Baker’s Bibliographies, is here. Be warned: though all of these books represent black lives, many of them are deeply racist. If you want guidance on this, I’m documenting them and can advise.
