Published on the occasion of his 2008 solo exhibition of the same name, which was organized by the Kunstverein Braunschweig, Christoph Keller’s Observatorium presents a survey of the artist’s work with photography, video, and interactive performance. Projects featured in the book include “Expedition-Bus and Shaman-Travel”, a series of work involving hypnosis and trance-like states, the strangely eerie “Inverse Observatories”, and “Archives as Objects as Monuments.” With texts (printed both in German and English) by Hilke Wagner, Stefan Heidenreich, Sharon Ben-Joseph, Christoph Keller, Anselm Franke, and Hans Ulrich Obrist.
