- Abstract:
- This study is designed to help early college students develop a genuine interest and eagerness to enhance their practical English language skills for their future careers in theological professions. The task draws from various reading sources and focuses on studying texts, particularly important for students pursuing a bachelor's degree in theology. Hence, the reading materials provided for the past and sub-past tense sessions lecture are derived from the studies mentioned in the footnotes below. During the English lectures for the theology study program, code-mixing and code-switching techniques are utilized alongside the lecture notes on the past, and sub-past tense is done to help bridge the diverse experiences of new students at the school level, considering their unique and diverse demographic backgrounds. It also considers the dynamics of the English learning process in the student's respective schools of background
