    Abstract:
Environment means air, water, food, sunlight, living and nonliving things including human beings and plant life. There are different factors like topography, climate, edaphic and biotic which affect giving rise to environmental pollution. Human beings have been a major cause of this concern. Even in developed countries, it persists as well. Stricter laws and rules with punishments and penalties are now the only way to curb this issue as people even after being also aware of the consequences of it do not take it seriously, rather are negligent and ignorant. In order to protect our environment, several laws have been enacted after the Stockholm Convention. Our constitution also imposes a duty on the citizens to protect and improve the natural environment including forests, lakes, rivers, and wildlife and be compassionate towards living beings. In this article, we will help us analyze the various provision under different statutes which are there to safeguard our environment.
