    Abstract:
____________________________________________________________________________ English Abstract: 'Riofrío' is a 'factional' novel by Santiago Muñoz Machado, an eminent lawyer and jurist, on a important judiciary case involving the famous judge Baltasar Garzón—a lengthy judiciary investigation in which Garzón tried to convict a number of investors ranging from Berlusconi to Miguel Durán. It was a macro-case, poorly instructed but very efficiently leaked to the press, which lasted for nearly ten years, with the author acting as an attorney for the defendants. This paper comments on the book as an insider's portrait of judiciary corruption in the Spanish judiciary system.
