- Abstract:
- Don DeLillo's White Noise (1985) has been thoroughly examined as a work of postmodern fiction, with particular attention to media and simulacra, and from the perspective of science and technology, focusing on chemistry and toxicity. In this presentation, I look at the novel from an art historical perspective, considering the relations it bears to movements in the visual and plastic arts, particularly Pop art and Photorealism.
