    Abstract:
    Jorge Villavicencio Grossmann (b. 1973) is a Peruvian/Brazilian/American composer who studied composition in São Paulo at the Faculdade Santa Marcelina, and in the United States at Florida International University and Boston University. His String Quartet no. 3 appeared on a recent disc of Latin American string quartets issued by the JACK Quartet in 2014, and his Wayra opens a disc of New South American Discoveries released by the Norwegian Radio Orchestra in 2016. He currently teaches composition at Ithaca College, in Ithaca, New York.
