- Monograph submitted in 2012 as fulfillment of the requirement for the degree of BA in Architecture and Urbanism, University of Sao Paulo. This work explores the historical, geographical and cultural relationship of China with its waters, and argues that the Three Gorges Dam is a symbolic and physical representation of the continuing Chinese modernity, rather than a product of the recent so-called economic miracle.
