MemberJennifer Isasi

Dr. Jennifer Isasi is an Assistant Research Professor of Digital Scholarship at The Pennsylvania State University. She is the Assistant Director of the Office of Digital Pedagogy and Scholarship and Director of the Digital Liberal Arts Research Initiative. This position in progress will establish a research methodologies community at PSU to articulate and integrate digital research in projects in the humanities and social sciences.    Jennifer is also a member of the editorial board of the open access journal Programming Historian. She contributes to the Spanish-speaking team with translations and editing, and serves as the Communications Manager for the overall board. 

MemberMike Furlough

Mike Furlough is Executive Director of HathiTrust Digital Library, an organization that preserves and provides access to millions of digitized books and journals from the collections of more than 120 member libraries. Previously Furlough served as the Associate Dean for Research and Scholarly Communications at the Pennsylvania State University Libraries (2006-2014) and led digital scholarship services at the University of Virginia Library (1998-2006).  His research has focused on how libraries and universities develop organizational support for emerging scholarly communication practices. Getting the Word Out: Academic Libraries as Scholarly Publishers, which he co-edited with Maria Bonn, was published by the Association of College and Research Libraries in 2015. From 2011-2013 he served as faculty for the ARL/DLF/Duraspace E-Science Institute.  He currently serves on the board of the Digital Preservation Network and was a member of The Future of the Print Record working group sponsored by the Modern Language Association and American Historical Association. 

MemberCharles Jones

Charles E. Jones is the Tombros Librarian for Classics and Humanities in the George and Sherry Middlemas Arts and Humanities Library at The Pennsylvania State University. He was the founding Head of the Library at the Institute for the Study of the Ancient World and a member of the Faculty of the Libraries of New York University from 2008-2013.  Before ISAW, Jones spent three years in Greece as the Head of the Blegen Library, the American School of Classical Studies at Athens, preceded by twenty-two years as the Librarian of the Research Archives, Oriental Institute, The University of Chicago.  Trained in the University of Chicago’s Department of Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations in Ancient Near Eastern History and Assyriology, he is a member of the Editorial Board of the Persepolis Fortification Archive Publication Project.  In addition to building and running focused academic libraries, Jones works on a broad range of issues related to scholarly communication in digital environments. Jones is the Editor of AWOL: The Ancient World Online [ISSN 2156-2253]

MemberAmanda Larson

I’m the Open Education Librarian at the Penn State University Libraries in Pennsylvania, where I coordinate affordable content initiatives across the campuses and provide guidance on copyright, creative commons licensing, and project management.I also serve as a liaison for faculty to other University units creating OER.
